Eating Day...
Note: This post is supposed to be published yesterday (Sunday, 14 Dec). However, I fell asleep while typing this post so... I continued with this post today. So, int this post, "today" = "yesterday (Sunday, 14 Dec)". Whew, I'm finally back home after a tiring day. Again. Tired from eating. Again.
Today, around noon, my Dad, Mom and I went to Bishan Junction 8 to look for the stuff we wanted. For me, the stuff I wanted were mostly: some CDs and a small haversack that I can use outdoors, be it shopping or.. Whatsoever. So, after eating our breakfast at home, we headed for Bishan.
When we finally arrived at Bishan, there was a loooooooooooooong queue. What queue? Carpark queue. My Mom and I actually thought of getting off the car first, but it was raining cats and dogs. So... We had to wait.
After what seemed like eternity, we finally managed to get in. Not into the shopping centre, but the CARPARK. From there, my Mom and I alighted, while my Dad went to look for a parking lot. When we got into the shopping centre, I went into the CD shop to look for the CDs I wanted. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. How unlucky I am... The moment we left the shop, my Dad joined us. The three of us went into BHG to do some... presents-shopping and at the same time, look for my haversack. I saw a Nike one that I really liked, but the more I look at it, the more I feel that it is not reeeeeeaaaally nice. It was, uhm, too... Squarish - If there's such a word. So in the end, I did not buy the Nike haversack.
We had our lunch before heading to my cousins' place. I had 'ban mian' (lol) and a can of chrysanthemum tea. When we reached my cousins' place, my Dad dropped us off and he went back to his office to do some stuff...
My Mom and Aunt chit-chatted for a little while as I played some computer games with my cousin. Soon, my Mom, one of my cousins and I decided to go Orchard to do some shopping. Gosh, my cousin took a loooooooooooooong time to bathe and prepare himself. Close to an hour. Hence, my Mom and I wasted an hour, just to wait for him. *Sighs*
We took a bus and then a train to Orchard. Then we walk and walk and walk to Takashimaya S.C. While walking there, we went into other shopping centres such as Wisma Atria... Etc. After don't know how long of walking and walking, we finally arrived at Taka. At Taka, we looked for my cousin's slippers, my haversack, my CDs and some of my Mom's other stuff. We looked and looked and looked around, but we could not find the slippers my cousin wanted. So, we looked for my haversack. As I intended to buy a Kipling one, my mom - being an expert in Orchard Road and the shopping centres there - lead me to the "Kipling" section. The bags there were of all sorts of sizes and designs. 琳琅满目. See until I blur ah. After rounds and rounds of asking the salesman to go into the storeroom to get out bags, I finally settled on one. It's a blackish-brown one with a monkey/ ape/ gorilla/ chimpanzee/ whatsoever named BASI. Lol, I know, it's a weird name. (I wanted to take a picture of it and put it on my blog, but when I was about to snap a picture of the bag, my camera died on me.) As it cost a grenade (not as big as a bomb, so grenade lor), I decided that I shall take the bag as a replacement for the Wii I asked my parents to buy for me as a reward for my results. My cousin said I was dumb to do so (intially, I thought I was too, but after much consideration, I thought that the Wii costs much more than the bag, and one day, I will eventually get tired of the Wii. So... I felt that the bag is more worth it as I can use it for a long time).
After paying for the bag, we decided that it was time to go for our dinner as our stomachs were all growling really loudly. Thus, my Mom brought us to the Marriott hotel which was just opposite Taka to have our buffet dinner. And gosh (again), it cost alot. About $57 - if I did not remember wrongly - per pax! However, it was worth the money. The food there was simply mouth-watering and delicious! Although the variety of food there was not that wide, we still enjoyed it. There were salmon.. Chilli crab.. Drunken Prawn.. Beehoon... Crayfish (my cousin took 6 of them!!) And lots and lots of other food. And desserts too! Desserts included banana crumble (which is really nice), cheese cake, tiramisu, creme brulee, ice cream (with a variety of other toppings like... Waffle, Oreo, Marshmallow, etc.).We ate till our stomachs were about to burst when my Dad called and asked us where we were so he could fetch us home. It was indeed the perfect timing as we were too full to walk and take the MRT and bus home.
So, after eating, we went to the washroom and explored the hotel while waiting for my Dad too come to fetch us home. After about 5 - 10 minutes, my Dad arrived and we dropped off my cousin at his house and we headed home. And soon....
.. I fell asleep
