Metro Expo Sale~!

Nothing much happened yesterday, so I'm going to blog about Saturday. Well, this was how my Saturday went...

I spent my Saturday morning at home and received a call from my Mom in the afternoon. She asked me if I would like to join her at the Metro Expo Sale in the Singapore Expo. I recalled seeing that they had an offer for Crocs up to 80% off (needed to get some new shoes for CNY) and I readily agreed.

I met my Mom at Aljunied MRT station and we ate our lunch there before taking the train to Expo. Had some Nasi Lemak. After our lunch, we proceeded to Tanah Merah, before changing the train to Singapore Expo.

Soon, we finally arrived at the Expo. We headed towards Hall 5 where the Metro Expo Sale was held. We borrowed a huuuuuuuuuuge recycle bag at the entrance and started "hunting" for our shoes. It was packed like sardines (call me cheapo - I don't care, it's worth the hustling and bustling anyway). We finally got to the Crocs section. There were like racks and racks and racks and racks and racks and racks of Crocs on offer. From $20 to... I dunno how much. Cheap hor?

My Mom and I decided on which design we wanted and it turned out that we had the same taste. My Mom got I red one (size 7) and I wanted a light blue one. My size was size 6 and I coulg not find a pair of size 6 at all, even if it was another colour! So, I was kind of disappointed... :( Then, my Mom got a pair for my tuition teacher, as a "token of appreciation". Now, left me don't have! So we went to shop for.. ahem... ahem... lingerie. <-- Can you see the word? Haha, so embarrassing. While shopping for... ahem... lingerie, my Mom had to go to the washroom and I waited for her in the Expo Hall. Wait and wait and wait, something caught my attention. There was this pair of light blue Crocs that I wanted. Hidden under a rack of... ahem... lingerie. I didn't dare to take it, as I was afraid it was someone else's.

Soon, my Mom came back from the washroom and I told her that there was a pair of light blue Crocs under the rack. She walked towards it and took a look. And guess what? It was size 6! Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo! She said, "Aiyaaa, don't care la. Just take la." Then we just dumped it into the bag. Yay! Then we made our payment and went home. Yay, I'm so happy. Okok, that's all about Saturday! Bye!

Twilight

Hellooooo!

I came back from Malaysia yesterday and I will probably blog about my Malaysia trip.. Uhm.. Soon. Maybe tomorrow. Soon laaaaa.

Anyway, I woke up at 9.45am this morning and received a sms from Jolene which was sent last night at 11 plus. She asked if I could watch Twilight today. Still in a "stupor" after waking up, I called asked her about the details and within minutes, I decided on the venue and the time slot. I discussed it with Jolene and the moment she agreed, I called my father to ask him whether I was allowed to go for the movie at Bishan. Luckily, fortunately, happily, he agreed. Yay!

After that, I called Dorothy to ask her if she could make it too. She asked her father and also, luckily, fortunately and happily, her father agreed too! Yay! She called me to tell me about the "good news" and we were surprised that our fathers agreed so easily. We then talked about how excited we were and arranged where and when to meet. 12.30pm, at Bishan Junction 8.

We talked for a long long long long time before we realised that it was only one hour plus more to go before 12.30pm. Hence, we quickly hung up the phone and bathed and get ready for the outing!!!

After having my breakfast (which was just a pathetic cup of Milo), I proceeded to the bus stop and took a bus to Bishan. Soon, I reached. The moment I reached there, Dorothy called me and told me that she was only on the way to YCK MRT. I told her that I would wait for her at the entrance/ exit of the MRT. 15 minutes passed, and I spotted her.

We then made our way to the cinema to purchase our tickets (including Jolene's) before eating our lunch. Dorothy recommended me this fishball noodle and so, we went to eat fishball noodles. While eating we talked about our holidays. Blaah blaah blaah. Lazy to elaborate.

Dorothy and I walked round and round and round and round the shopping centre while waiting for Jolene. We also talked and talked and talked. Soon, we felt super thirsty and made our way to Fairprice to get a drink. At about 3pm, Jolene arrived and we met. Again, the three of us talked and talked and talked about our holidays. It was soon time to get drinks and tidbits from Fairprice, again. After getting them, we went to the cinema... CHEESY HOTDOGS - 2 FOR $2!

So, each of us got 2 hotdogs. And we went into the cinema!!! We finished the hotdogs even before the advertisements ended. Dorothy was super duper noisy as she was damn excited. And scared?? She was like "clinging" onto my hand. Even before the movie. Before the movie already like that, can imagine how she's like during the movie?!

The movie ending was kinda abrupt and how we wished it could last longer. Can't wait for New Moon to come out. Then we made our way home...

So, now, here I am posting this post.

Seeya.

Registration Day

Yo!

Haiya, it's soooooo boring at home these few days. But I finally manage to get out of my house yesterday because of the Secondary One registration thingy. So...

Friday
My Mom woke me up from my beautiful sleep at 6.30am and I had to go and wash up and get into my school uniform. My Mom had to like, literally drag me out of bed to get my butt of the bed. Then at about 7am, we set off to this North/ South (Forget already la) Bridge Food Centre to have our breakfast. The three of us had fried carrot cake which was like really yummy. It's lke crispy and sweet! Within minutes, we finished our breakfast and we dropped my Mom off at Lavender Station. My Dad and I then headed down to Nanyang.

We reached there at about 8am and took a look at the notice boards which listed out the names and groups the pupils were in. I was in Group 9 and no one was with me. Boohoo. Not many people from our school had anyone in the same group as them. Hehe, so I wasn't the only one who didn't have a friend in the same group.

Upon seeing that there were not many people buying the uniforms and books, we proceeded to get the uniforms first. I had to go to this counter and have my measurements taken in order to know what sizes I must wear. And I concluded that my body is weird. My polo (PE) tee was like, size XS, my blouse was size S, my shorts were size M and my skirt was size L. Huge butt. After my measurements were taken, we went to pay for the uniform and then collected it form another counter.

After I bought my uniforms, we intended to get my books. However, before we could even place our orders, we were "chased up" to the hall to attend a compulsory briefing by some staff/ teacher. So, we had no choice but to go up to the hall. Before that, my Dad went to the car to put the uniforms in it. Then, we went up to the hall together.

I had to sit on the floor, in the section labelled "Group 9". Parents were supposed to seat on the chairs provided. Soon, the briefing started. First, the principal addressed us in English, then in Chinese. After that, there were three different talks on the AEP, HMP and MSP respectively. Neither my dad nor me were interested in them so my Dad came up with this brilliant idea of going down to buy my books as there would surely be a crowd later on. So once the briefing ended, we went home! Yay!

My Dad helped me bring the books up as they were very heavy and then, he went to work while I stayed at home. As I was really really bored, I read my storybook and then wrapped the textbooks with plastic sheet. And then, I fell asleep...

Today
Still waiting for my Dad to come home from work so that we can go out!

Day with Gracia & Day with Belle

Hey Everyone...

Ahhhhhh! I "ransacked" my whole house to look for my USB cables for my iPod and my phone so that I can transfer songs and music, but to no avail... Boohoooo.

Tuesday

In the morning afetr eating my breakfast, I headed down to Gracia's house. And I missed that stupid bus. And I was carrying the heavy heavy laptop. And battery pack. And mouse. Hmmm, I shan't talk about it. It makes me fuming mad.

Anyway, just a few stops before the stop I was supposed to alight, I called Gracia to come down to the bus stop to bring me up to her house. So after a few minutes, I reached my destination and I saw Gracia walking towards meeeee.

When we reached her house, we went into her room to.. Uhm.. Explore? And I borrowed a book from Gracia, and she returned me my BREAKING DAWN (HAPPY, GRACIA???). Then after "exploring" her room, we went to set up my laptop so that we could play with the computer. When Gracia saw my the MapleStory icon on my Desktop, she was "begging" to play it. So... I clicked on the icon... And the computer hanged... So I had to restart it. As it was taking a long time, we decided to go and eat lunch as I was kind of hungry...

We walked to a nearby food court and had our lunch there. I had a bowl of mee pok while Gracia had a bowl of Laksa. We chit-chatted as we ate and we soon finished our food. Then, we had a slow walk back to Gracia's house.

Back at Gracia's house, we did some computer stuff, and it was getting boring by the seconds and minutes. Hence, we decided to go rollerblading. And I tell you, it was the worst experience rollerblading. *Hehe, shouldn't have laughed at Jolene* It has been a loooooooong time since I rollerbladed, thus I had LOTS of trouble doing it.

First, I had to put on my (actually Gracia's brother's) rollerblades. I couldn't even differentiate the left one from the right one! Haha. Next we had to leave the house and get into the lift. Gracia was like in the lift pressing the door open for me, and I was trying to make my way in. However there was this small small small slope leading into the lift. Although it was just that that that tiny, everytime I try to get into the lift, I will go backwards... Gracia was laughing heartily in the lift!! Eventually, she came out of the lift and pushed me into the lift. Gosh, I sound so dumb... Then, we had to start rollerblading...

I fell like thrice, and all three times on this stupid slope. Boohooooo, my legs and arms and butt ache like siao now la. As I fell like, too many times, we decided to get back after "quarter-circling" the neighbourhood (never made a full circle). When we got home (Gracia's home I mean), Gracia used MY laptop to talk to HER friends for a really really long time.. And I so poor thing sitting beside her doing nothing but watch her talk. Fortunately, she realised how bored I was and we watched Cheaper by The Dozen 2. Kinda hilarious la. Then, it was time to go home.

Gracia accompanied me to the bus stop and waited with me for the bus. But halfway through waiting, she said she needed to pee so, I, being so kind-hearted (HAHA), let her go home first while I waited for the bus myself. Then finally, the bus came and I manged to get home...

Today (Wednesday)

I spent my day today with Belle at Plaza Singapura watching Bolt. So here's my recount of what happened today...

This morning, I woke up at 9am and played my PSP as I was supposed to wake up only at 10am, but I can't get back to sleep. I played my PSP till about 10am, then did what I was supposed to do. At about 11am, I made my way out to the bus stop and took a bus to Serangoon MRT station. Then, I took a train down to Dhoby Ghaut...

I reached there at almost the same time as Belle. We went up to the cinema to get our tickets. And yippeeee! I got the seat on the last row in the middle! Again! After getting the tickets, we headed to MOS Burger to have our lunch. Belle ordered a Terriyaki Chicken Burger while I got the Terriyaki Chicken Burger set. Lol.. That was the first burger that I ate every single piece of lettuce in it! Yay! I'm so proud of myself!! Anyway...

After we had our lunch, we walked around Plaza Sing. and went to Carrefour to get our drinks and tidbits. Then, the both of us had a try each in the "giap giap" machine at the arcade. We were trying to get the hamster soft toy, but to no avail. Soon, it was time for the movie and we went into the cinema....

I bought a cheesy hotdog and Belle and I shared a drink in addition to the drinks and tidbits we bout in Carrefour. When we were in the theatre, the both of us attempted to open the cap of our drink bottles. And guess what. Boom, got mini F&N and Root Beer fountain sia. Scared the wits outta me. I muched on my hotdog and gave the tip of the hotdog to Belle. See, I so kind right?? Then, the movie started.

-TWO HOURS LATER...-

The movie ended and it was quite entertaining. As my bladder was about to burst, I chionged to the toilet and in the meantime, took pictures of the few Bolt posters. We eventually made t to the toilet and after that, we went to the food court as Belle was hungry. She ordered some sort of chicken noodle while I went to the toilet again. Had a stomachache la... So after doing what I had to do, I went to San Bookshop to have a look at the books but found nothing that interests me. So I went back to the food court to look for Belle. Just nice, she finished eating alr. So we decided to go home.

At the MRT "gate", Belle had some problems with her card/ the machine. I went off first while she got help from the MRT Staff. Headed down to Kovan station and got some stuff for my Grandma to eat at Heartland Mall. I'm such a filial granddaughter! Haha, jk. Then, I took a bus home. So now, here I am, eating my dinner and typing this. Ok, I gtg and watch Love Blossoms II and eat my dinner!

Byes!

Cheryl :)

Eating Day...

Note: This post is supposed to be published yesterday (Sunday, 14 Dec). However, I fell asleep while typing this post so... I continued with this post today. So, int this post, "today" = "yesterday (Sunday, 14 Dec)".

Whew, I'm finally back home after a tiring day. Again. Tired from eating. Again.

Today, around noon, my Dad, Mom and I went to Bishan Junction 8 to look for the stuff we wanted. For me, the stuff I wanted were mostly: some CDs and a small haversack that I can use outdoors, be it shopping or.. Whatsoever. So, after eating our breakfast at home, we headed for Bishan.

When we finally arrived at Bishan, there was a loooooooooooooong queue. What queue? Carpark queue. My Mom and I actually thought of getting off the car first, but it was raining cats and dogs. So... We had to wait.

After what seemed like eternity, we finally managed to get in. Not into the shopping centre, but the CARPARK. From there, my Mom and I alighted, while my Dad went to look for a parking lot. When we got into the shopping centre, I went into the CD shop to look for the CDs I wanted. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. How unlucky I am... The moment we left the shop, my Dad joined us. The three of us went into BHG to do some... presents-shopping and at the same time, look for my haversack. I saw a Nike one that I really liked, but the more I look at it, the more I feel that it is not reeeeeeaaaally nice. It was, uhm, too... Squarish - If there's such a word. So in the end, I did not buy the Nike haversack.

We had our lunch before heading to my cousins' place. I had 'ban mian' (lol) and a can of chrysanthemum tea. When we reached my cousins' place, my Dad dropped us off and he went back to his office to do some stuff...

My Mom and Aunt chit-chatted for a little while as I played some computer games with my cousin. Soon, my Mom, one of my cousins and I decided to go Orchard to do some shopping. Gosh, my cousin took a loooooooooooooong time to bathe and prepare himself. Close to an hour. Hence, my Mom and I wasted an hour, just to wait for him. *Sighs*

We took a bus and then a train to Orchard. Then we walk and walk and walk to Takashimaya S.C. While walking there, we went into other shopping centres such as Wisma Atria... Etc. After don't know how long of walking and walking, we finally arrived at Taka. At Taka, we looked for my cousin's slippers, my haversack, my CDs and some of my Mom's other stuff. We looked and looked and looked around, but we could not find the slippers my cousin wanted. So, we looked for my haversack. As I intended to buy a Kipling one, my mom - being an expert in Orchard Road and the shopping centres there - lead me to the "Kipling" section. The bags there were of all sorts of sizes and designs. 琳琅满目. See until I blur ah. After rounds and rounds of asking the salesman to go into the storeroom to get out bags, I finally settled on one. It's a blackish-brown one with a monkey/ ape/ gorilla/ chimpanzee/ whatsoever named BASI. Lol, I know, it's a weird name. (I wanted to take a picture of it and put it on my blog, but when I was about to snap a picture of the bag, my camera died on me.) As it cost a grenade (not as big as a bomb, so grenade lor), I decided that I shall take the bag as a replacement for the Wii I asked my parents to buy for me as a reward for my results. My cousin said I was dumb to do so (intially, I thought I was too, but after much consideration, I thought that the Wii costs much more than the bag, and one day, I will eventually get tired of the Wii. So... I felt that the bag is more worth it as I can use it for a long time).

After paying for the bag, we decided that it was time to go for our dinner as our stomachs were all growling really loudly. Thus, my Mom brought us to the Marriott hotel which was just opposite Taka to have our buffet dinner. And gosh (again), it cost alot. About $57 - if I did not remember wrongly - per pax! However, it was worth the money. The food there was simply mouth-watering and delicious! Although the variety of food there was not that wide, we still enjoyed it. There were salmon.. Chilli crab.. Drunken Prawn.. Beehoon... Crayfish (my cousin took 6 of them!!) And lots and lots of other food. And desserts too! Desserts included banana crumble (which is really nice), cheese cake, tiramisu, creme brulee, ice cream (with a variety of other toppings like... Waffle, Oreo, Marshmallow, etc.).We ate till our stomachs were about to burst when my Dad called and asked us where we were so he could fetch us home. It was indeed the perfect timing as we were too full to walk and take the MRT and bus home.

So, after eating, we went to the washroom and explored the hotel while waiting for my Dad too come to fetch us home. After about 5 - 10 minutes, my Dad arrived and we dropped off my cousin at his house and we headed home. And soon....
.. I fell asleep

BBQ Day..

Hello.

I am finally back home after a tiring day. Eat until tired. Well, I attended a Advanced Christmas BBQ Party organised by my Dad's colleague.

Well, after waking up and washing up at home, my dad and I went to the KFC outlet at Kovan and had our breakfast there. After breakfast, we went to shop for some presents for the gift exchange thingy. We bought two boxes of chocolates (Merci and Ferrero Rocher) as there were two of us attending the party. Soon, it was time for us to leave and make our way to the venue.

Just as we were about to reach the venue, my Dad received a call from his colleague to get some margarine, barbeque brush (I dunno what is that called la, but it's the brush to 'paint' the margarine on the BBQ stuff) and some charcoal. Hence, my Dad and I went to the supermarket near the venue to get the stuff that he needed to get.

As soon as we got all the stuff we needed to get, we proceeded to the BBQ venue which was... Uhm... Just a road away. When we reached there, there were only four people there (including the host, excluding us). I introduced myself and everyone claimed that I looked EXACTLY like my Dad. After that, we got into action and started barbequeing. In a few minutes, more and more people arrived, which results with more and more people saying that I looked exactly like my Dad. As it was only a small gathering, there were only about less than 15 people.

I stuffed my face with more and more food, more and more drinks. I counted, and I think I drank about 6 packets of drinks. Heehee. The food included JUMBO sausages... Corn on cobs... Honey Baby Octopus... Stingray... Fried Mee Siam... Prawns... Crabs... Etc. Etc. la. After all the eating, it was time for the gift exhange. There were names on pieces of paper (actually it's kitchen roll) and each of us were to draw a piece of paper from a bag and the name of the person that appears on the paper we drew is supposed to give us a present. So we exchanged our two boxes of chocolates for another box of chocolates and a soft toy. The soft toy was soooo cute! Anyway, after getting the presents, we had to go and fetch my mother who is at my grandma's house. Then, we went home.

So, now I'm at home posting this post. Ok, this is the end of my blog post. See ya!

Cheryl :)

P.S. Weeeee, I can't wait for next Tuesday (Gracia's house)!!! And Thursday (Release of School Posting Results)!!! And Friday (Sec School Registration)!!! And Sunday (Malaysia)!!!

A Day With Jolene

Helloooooo.

I have not been updating my blog for soooo long. So now, since I'm free, I'm going to blog about my day with Jolene yesterday.

Yesterday, I met Jolene at the void deck of my house so she could accompany (since she had already collected hers) me to school to collect my Certificate. After collecting the Certificate, we proceeded to the bus stop and took a bus to Serangoon MRT Station. It was a looooooong wait there. From Serangoon MRT Station, we then took the train to VivoCity.

At VivoCity, we window-shopped and then had our lunch at Kopitiam. There was the lunch crowd and we had a hard time finding a place to sit. The both of us continued shopping after having our lunch and soon, we got bored of VivoCity. Hence, we decided to go back to my house and let Jolene try ROLLERBLADING..

When Jolene and I reached my house, Jolene read my copy of 8 Days while I searched for my rollerblades in my store room. Fortunately, the pair of rollerblades were just right in front so I did not have to dig further in.

It was damn hilarious looking at Jolene trying to rollerblade. She could barely get out of my house! Just after reaching the void deck of my house, she gave up and I took over. We walked and rollerbladed around the neighbourhood (for only a while) and then went home. I know we are lame la.

At home, we watched TV, ate tidbits and played with the computer. And I convinced Jolene to get a Facebook account... And she did! Yay!

Soon, it was time for Jolene to go home. So my day with Jolene ended. Hehe.

Ok, that's all. Byebye!

F.Y.I. Back from Genting Highlands on 7th December... Going to Malaysia around 20th December! Yay!

Cheryl :)

My Day Out With Gracia!!

Hello, I'm back from my day with Gracia!

Ok, my day started at... 8.30am. I lazed in bed for like 15 minutes, then I went to bathe. After bathing, I went to eat my breakfast (which was just a pathetic piece of bread), then went to take the bus to Serangoon MRT at 9.30am. Look at this: I was supposed to take Bus 53 or Bus 45. So, just as I was about to cross the road, Bus 53 passed. While waiting for the "green man" on the traffic light to appear, Bus 45 passed! Wth?! I missed both buses!!! 15 minutes later, 53 finally arrived.

Eventually reached Serangoon MRT. Just as I was about to reach the train doors, they closed! Missed 53, missed 45, now miss the train. What is this?! It's not my day today. Finally and finally, I reached VivoCity and met Gracia at the cinema. Bought the tickets for Wild Child the 11.05pm show. The person so good, gave us seats in the last row, in the middle! Yay!

After buying the tickets, we walked around Vivo. Went into shops like, Candy Empire, Chamelon, Giant (lol), etc. Soon, it was time for the movie and we went back to the cinema.

Before the movie started, they were showing all the trailers and advertisements. Then out of the blue, the Twilight trailer came out. Simultaneously, the both of us whispered, "TWILIGHT!". Then we were like giggling. Hehe, great mouths talk alike. Wild Child was kind of nice la. Waaah, I can't believe I cried. Haha. We were supposed to eat lunch after watching the movie but we were not feeling hungry after the movie so we decided to eat our lunch when we reach Bugis. So we took the MRT to Outram Park, then to Bugis.

When we reached Bugis Junction, we found the neoprint shop and took some neoprints. Had to teach Gracia how to decorate. Haha. Newbie. After taking the neoprints, we ate at McDonald's. The both of us were trying to save money, so we tried to spend as little as possible. The both of us intended to order a 6 piece Chicken McNugget each and drink our own mineral water (see how hard we are trying to save our money?) but after the cashier's - or whoever it is -recommendation, we ordered a 20 piece Chicken McNugget (to share la, of course). While we ate, I related what happened on Love Blossoms II the previous night. Talk until my throat pain ah. When we finished eating, we decided not to shop around in Bugis Junction already because the more we walk, the more tempted we are to spend money. Haha. So stupid. So after going to the washroom, we went home.

AND I MISSED ANOTHER BUS. What on earth is going on???
Great day with Gracia. And with Wild Child. And with Neoprints. And with... Missing buses! And trains.

Cheryl :)

P.S. My longest post so far! Haha.
